Actress Amrita aka Annapurna Pandey has committed suicide. She used to work in Bhojpuri films. She committed suicide at her Divyadham apartment on Adampur Ghat Road in Bhagalpur, Bihar on Saturday. Information is coming out that Amrita was not getting work in films for a long time, so she went into depression and ended her life due to that.
Jogsar Thane police rushed to the spot after receiving the information about the suspicious death of Amrita Pandey. Police along with the FSL team investigated the spot. Saree, mobile phone and other materials used by her to hang herself have been seized from the spot. According to family members, Aparna has worked in Bhojpuri, Hindi films, serials, web series and commercials. ABP Live has reported in this regard.
Amrita's WhatsApp status before suicide was 'Life is running on two boats, I sank my boat and made the way easier'. According to the police of Jogsar police station, they received information that a woman had committed suicide in the apartment in the evening. On receiving the information, SHO Krishna Nandan Kumar Singh, SI Rajeev Ranjan and Shakti Paswan reached the spot. On reaching the flat, Amrita's dead body was lying on the bed.

The family told the police that when her sister went to Amrita's room at 3.30 pm, she was found hanging from the noose. The family members immediately cut her throat with a knife and rushed her to a local private hospital, but she was declared dead on arrival. After this they brought her back to the flat. Amrita had come home for her sister's wedding, she got married on April 18 and then Amrita stayed there.
Amrita was married to Chandramani Jhangad from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh in 2022. He is an animation engineer in Mumbai. They have no children. She took this shocking step when her husband left for Mumbai. Amrita was very worried about her career. Her sister has said that because of this, she was being treated for depression.
