Effect on local train time-table due to Vande Bharat Express?

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Shirdi and CSMT to Solapur Vande Bharat Express have started recently. However, due to these two express trains, the local schedule which is the lifeline of Mumbaikars has started collapsing. CSMT-Shirdi and Solapur 'Vande Bharat' started in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. However, due to these trains, 16 long distance trains, 6 suburban local trains in Pune and one DEMU in Pune have already been changed. Now, the schedule of local trains has also been changed.

As there is no separate railway line, the schedule of other trains is affected. Due to 'Vande Bharat' going to Shirdi, down local and 'Vande Bharat' coming from Solapur changed the schedule of up local. This affected the local schedule of 15 coaches of Kasara, Karjat, Asangaon, Badlapur, Ambernath, Thana, Kalyan. However, the Public Relations Department of Central Railway clarified that there has been no change in the local timetable.

These changes will be applicable for passengers traveling from Kalyan, Dombivali, Diva, Thane, Mulund, Bhandup, Ghatkopar, Kurla, Dadar, Byculla stations.

Good response from passengers

CSMT-Shirdi, 'Vande Bharat' train was 100% booked in the first week itself. On Saturday, 1,034 out of 1,024 'chair cars' and 97 out of 104 'executive' seats were reserved in CSMT Shirdi 'Vande Bharat'. Accordingly, 48.49 percent reservation was made in CSMT - Solapur 'Vande Bharat'. 468 out of 1,024 'chair cars' and 79 out of 104 'executive' seats were reserved.
