During his tour to Mumbai, Italian ambassador to India, Vincenzo De Luca, on Wednesday stated that the foremost conservation establishment in Italy would soon work with the state government on a first of a kind project for protection, as well as, restoration of ancient temples, stated reports.
Based on reports, in his three-day visit, De Luca met with the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray, and environment minister, Aaditya Thackeray. He also called on the Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. Aaditya Thackeray took to Twitter to share his thoughts about his meeting with De Luca.

De Luca highlighted that after the coronavirus pandemic it would be a time of opportunities and that the city would be the hub of new Asia. Areas of focus during his visit included the green economy, energy transition, as well as, waste to energy, highlighted accounts.
In addition to this, he also interacted with revered industrialists Ratan Tata and Anand Mahindra. He added that Italy was looking forward to working on waste to energy projects in Mumbai with the help of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), stated reports.
It is important to consider that the authorities have been undertaking various initiatives in the path of clean energy to ensure a greener future in the city.
