The Mumbai Police conducted an all-out campaign in the city and suburbs between May 3 and 4. During this drive, the police took action against the drivers who violated the rules. Meanwhile, 6,233 vehicles were checked through blockades at 111 places. Action was taken against 2,440 motorists who violated traffic rules.


Action was taken against 77 motorists in the drunk and drive case. During this action, the police succeeded in arresting eight accused who were absconding. A total of 53 non-bailable warrants were issued and action was taken against the accused. Also, 5 actions were taken against people who buy and sell narcotics. At the same time, swords, knives and other weapons were confiscated by carrying out 49 operations in connection with possession of illegal weapons.

Illegal businesses were destroyed by raids at 24 places selling illegal liquor and gambling. 30 accused were arrested from this. 62 operations were carried out in connection with the arrest of fugitives as well as accused who entered the city without permission. 175 actions were taken against suspiciously acting people, while 154 actions were taken against unauthorised hawkers. In this campaign conducted across the city, action was taken against 230 accused out of 964 accused. Also, 800 hotels, lodges, guest houses etc. were inspected. Along with this, a total of 529 sensitive sites were also inspected
