On Tuesday, May 7, the Mumbai Crime Brand made its fifth arrest in the case regarding firing at Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra. Cops from Rajasthan arrested the fifth accused in the case who has been identified as Mohammad Chaudhary, reported ANI.


Mohammad Chaudhary helped the two shooters, now apprehended, in carrying out the firing incident at Galaxy Apartments on Sunday, April 14, according to the investigation.

On April 14 the firing happened when two assailants on a bike opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments. Before fleeing the scene, the two also fired shots towards Khan's apartment. The two shooters were apprehended by the police, and connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were revealed.


Unfortunately, things got worse in the case when Anuj Thapan, one of the arms suppliers, was found dead in his cell on May 1. It's believed he took his own life. Mumbai Police said he tried to end his life while in custody and died in the hospital. On April 26 Anuj Thapan's arrest marked a significant breakthrough in the investigation, throwing light on the network responsible for providing weapons to the perpetrators of the attack.
