MU signs Educational MoUs with 36 renowned institutions across India and abroad

The University of Mumbai on October 19, 2023 signed academic MoUs with 36 reputed higher education institutions of India and abroad to promote multidisciplinary education and open up various opportunities in the field of higher education on the lines of implementation of the Maharashtra Public University Act and National Education Policy. State M in line with the implementation of the National Education Policy, students will be provided with experiential and skill training,inister of Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil was present as the chief guest.

While detailing the background of these academic MoUs, Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raveedra Kulkarni said that in line with the implementation of the National Education Policy, students will be provided with experiential and skill training, grade transfer, dual degree, associate degree, online and physical internship, student-teacher exchange and various educational programs.

A corridor of opportunities will be opened in various fields such as research in the field of science and technology, artificial intelligence, co-cultural activities and creation and transfer of educational materials-resources. At the same time, he said that the importance of these agreements will be highlighted from the point of view of internationalisation of higher education. Taking a step towards the internationalisation of higher education, the University of Mumbai signed academic MoUs with the University of Illinois and the University of St. Louis in the US at the 'Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2023' program held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on the occasion of the completion of three years of the recent National Education Policy. 


The MoUs include 8 foreign universities, 7 universities in European consortia, 10 industrial institutes, 5 government institutes, 3 state universities, Sameer-IIT Mumbai, Sector Skill Council, startups, NGOs, etc. Purdue University, Saint Louis University, Mauritius Cultural Center, University of Lisbon, Bologna, Mulhouse Dakar, Strasbourg, Goethe University Germany, Tries University France, Institute of Company Secretaries, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Retailers Association Skill Council of India, Sasmir, Sameer, Indian Institute of Packaging, ICCR, Forum for Integrated National Security, Dr. Homi Bhabha State University, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Solapur University, Barti, CIDM, Agreements were signed with various reputed institutions like Swaminarayan Academic, Bombay Stock Exchange, Vrindavan Gurukul, OTAI, The Color Society, Collector Mumbai Suburban and Thane, Go Shunya.
