The service on Central Railways has been disrupted due to a crack in a track between Matunga and Dadar staions. On Friday evening, the commuters complained that the 5:33 pm Khopoli local saw a delay of 20 to 25 minutes due to the disruption.

The incident happened while a majority of commuters from the Mumbai city were returning to their homes. Currently, the fast trains have been diverted to the slow track. In addition to that, announcements about the unavailability of the trains from platforms 4 and 5 were being made. The passengers were forced to switch to slow trains.

Earlier on Friday, the up and down routes of Western Railways was disrupted due to faulty signals during the peak hours in the morning. Due to the failure of the signal, the trains on both the routes were delayed by 20-25 minutes which resulted in the delay of all the trains ahead.

Meanwhile, 20 local trains on Western Railways were cancelled due to the disruption and schedule of almost 100 local trains was scrambled.
