Central Railway has implemented a unique concept called 'Constitution Rail Coach' to remind the citizens about the Indian Constitution. Based on this concept, a copy of the constitution has been placed in all the compartments of the local. It contains complete information about the Constitution of India with a photograph.

The Constitution of India has been placed as a reminder to build a sovereign, socialist, secular democratic republic of India and to provide social, economic and political justice, freedom of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship, equality of status and opportunity to all its citizens. Officials of Central Railway informed that the first page of the constitution is being placed in all local compartments.



299 members were elected from all over India in the Constituent Assembly. For the drafting committee Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was elected. The first meeting of the committee was held on 9 December 1946. After that 13 committees of various subjects were formed. 7,635 suggestions were submitted by the public and out of them 5,473 suggestions were discussed. Around 11 sessions and 165 meetings were also held. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted to the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950. Photographs of the Constituent Assembly, the Drafting Committee and the dedication of the Constitution to the country have also been attached.
