On the occasion of the Holi festival, Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7 has announced changes in the frequency of the trains only for the day, March 7.
The metro trains will be operational and will run at an interval of 15 minutes. However, during the evening hours, that is, from 3 pm onwards, Mumbai Metro will run with a headway of every 10 minutes.
The decision was taken for what has been described as "looking at the need of passengers". MMMOCL assures Mumbaikars that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure a smooth and hassle-free journey. Passengers are advised to check the timetable carefully to plan their travel accordingly, said officials.
The timings for the first and last metro services on both routes remain unchanged.
