Everybody's favourite Ganesha is here. The Ganesha Festival has kick-started with pomp & show. Parksite Ganesha Group in Shivaji Maidan, Vikhroli (west) has set up a grand entry gate to welcome Bappa. The idol looks magnificent. The mahal set up for Bappa is to be known as 'Mushak (Mouse) Mahal'.
The crown of jumbo weighs 550gms, bracelet weighs 50gms, Trunkband (Sundpatta) weighs 110 gms. There are 8 mice with modak in their hands inside Mushak Mahal. The message is very awakening for this year, 'Save Girl Child'. 'Girls are not liabilities, they are Assets.' Bappa has come to rescue & restore women's power and respect.
