Bollywood’s legendary actor Nafisa Ali has been diagnosed with cancer. The actress herself revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage III cancer. The actress is married to Arjuna award-winning golfer, Colonel Sodhi and has three children.
On Saturday, Nafisa took to Instagram and shared a picture with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and wrote, “Just met my precious friend who wished me luck & to get well from my just diagnosed stage 3 cancer.”
The veteran actress marked her debut in the industry in the year 1979. She was a part of popular movies like Junoon, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Major Saab, Life in a Metro and Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3.Nafisa had also contested the 2009 elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket. Currently, she is a member of the Congress party.
Along with Nafisa, earlier this year, two other Bollywood actors Sonali Bendre and Irrfan Khan have been diagnosed with cancer. Sonali Bendre has been undergoing treatment in New York and Irrfan Khan is in London for the treatment.
