The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is recruiting Class IV employees for 1388 posts after the span of eight years. The whole process of filling up forms will be online which will be taken care by Mahaonline Limited company (enrolment agency) governed by the state government and Tata Consultancy Service.

Recruitment after eight years
Last recruitment was done by the BMC in 2009 where the civic body received 2.89 lakh applications for 1000 vacancies. After accepting the applications, the recruitment was going on for the next 18 months.
IBPS was zeroed in as enrolment agency
Before Mahaonline, IBPS was finalised to accept online applications but the company backed out at the last minute. Then the BMC decided to rope in Mahaonline Limited company (enrolment agency), confirmed general admin commissioner Sudhir Naik.
The civic body is expecting around four lakh applications in which two lakh applications will come in open and SC/SCT category.
