Ghodbunder bridge to remain close for 4 days

If you planning a trip to Gujarat, then you will have to wait for more four days. This is because National Highway Authority will be carrying out repair work on the northbound old Versova creek bridge. This bridge connects Gujarat and then Delhi by road. However, the south bound two lane new bridge will be accessible for motorists but heavy vehicles will be diverted to Thane-Bhiwandi via Ghodbunder Road.

According to the National Highway Authority, the bridge is 45 years old and is 48.5 metre long. The authority claims that they have completed the repair work but will keep the bridge under observation for 72 hours.
