In Mumbai, the intensity of the rainfall to increase over the weekend: IMD

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have announced that the rainfall will increase over the weekend across the city. So far, Mumbai and other areas in Maharashtra have observed heavy rainfall.

In the last 24 hours, the Colaba Observatory recorded 5.2 mm rainfall while the Santacruz Observatory recorded 6.6 mm rainfall. The IMD has predicted that the intensity of the rainfall may increase over the weekend.

On Friday, the city witnessed heavy rainfall in areas such as Sion, Dadar, Prabhadevi, Hindmata, Thane, and Dombivali. Also, following incessant rainfall, waterlogging incident was recorded at Kalyan and Dombivali railway station affecting local train services at Central Railway (CR).
