The Mumbai Port Trust initiated action against unauthorised constructions at the Mallet Bunder located at Ferry Wharf, better known as Bhaucha Dhakka, on Wednesday.
Three hutments were also demolished in the action taken. However, MPT officials refused to elaborate on those responsible for the illegal construction. They however clarified that the land belongs to the MPT. Port trust official in charge of illegal constructions, M L Sharma, was present during the demolitions.
