Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Centre to create employment opportunities

The concept of 'Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Centre' is to promote employment opportunities for the youth of the state and develop rural areas. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pramod Mahajan Rural Skill Development Center on Thursday, October 19, 2023. 511 gram panchayats of the state were inaugurated online at 4 pm. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha were present at the event through television communication system from Sahyadri Guest House.

Skill development is an intimate subject of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Accordingly, as per his concept, it was decided to start skill development centres in 511 gram panchayats. 

Since this program will be held at the state level, the departments of skill development, industry, revenue, rural development as well as women and child development will participate in it. Public representatives including Asha and Anganwadi workers will participate in the inauguration of this skill development centre.
