Shiv Sena MLA Mohan Rawale dies

As per reports, Shiv Sena MLA Mohan Rawale, died in Goa on Saturday, December 19, after suffering from a heart attack at the age of 72.

A former resident of the Shiv Sena stronghold of Parel, the MLA had served as the president of the Shiv Sena’s youth wing from 1979 to 1984. He subsequently went on to become an MP in 1991 from Mumbai South Central, representing the seat five consecutive times. Even though he was expelled from the party briefly in 2013 for dissidence, however, he later rejoined the party.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut further took to Twitter and stated, “Mohan Rawale died. He was a staunch Shiv Sainikand a big-hearted friend...He was a five-time MP...Tributes to him.”
