Mumbai – Every Mumbaikar in some or the other manner would associate himself with Dabbawallahs. Dabbawallahs take the lunch boxes from the house and deliver it to the destination. They travel with us in local trains, we see them on signals. Their attire entails one colour i.e. white and the colour signifies their job, attitude, and passion towards their work which is impeccable.
Statue of Dabbawallah set up at Haji Junction will be unveiled on 31 March at 10.45 am at the hands of BMC Commissioner Ajoy Mehta. Present at the unveiling ceremony will be Harsh Goenka, Chairman RPG Enterprises, Sculptor Vilay Shinde, Bhausaheb Karvande, Chairman Jevan Dabbe Vahatuk Mandal.
