Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul have received relief as the Committee of Administrators (CoA) have provisionally lifted the duo’s suspension till the appointment of an ombudsman. So, it is quite possible that Pandya might the join the Indian team in New Zealand after an interim relief.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a press release for the same and said,

The above matter and decision have been taken with the concurrence of the Learned Amicus Curiae, Mr. P.S. Narasimha. In view of the above, the suspension orders dated 11.01.2019 is immediately lifted pending appointment and adjudication of the allegations by the BCCI Ombudsman."

Earlier, Pandya had made immature and sexist comments on women which drew a lot of criticism and flak from social media.

"When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, 'Main karke aya hai aaj (I had sex today)’," Pandya had said on the Koffee With Karan episode.

Later, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul were suspended and ordered to return home from the tour of Australia. However, the duo’s future too seemed to be bleak as the Supreme Court had decided to put BCCI’s case up for hearing on February 5.
