MMPL: Borivali Warriors make a mark in their first match with a win

The excitement has been high at Marine Drive's Police Gymkhana these days as cricket fanatics have joined hands for Mumbai Master Premier League((MMPL). In the recently held match between Borivli Warriors and Chembur Strikers, the team from Borivli raised 246 runs. Chembur strikers strived to win the match, however, could not make more than 155 runs, eventually leading to Borivli Warriors' win in the first match by a whopping 91 runs.

Borivali Warriors won the toss and decided to bat first. Shahin Mistry chose to bast first and scored quite well with 8 fours and 4 sixes giving an impressive start for Borivli. He scored a total of 64 runs in 27 balls. Lavesh Mehra and Sanket Kankonkar also contributed quite well to the score, with 68 and 44 runs respectively.

Neil Dhankani and Nilesh Mahadik got 2 wickets each with their bowling, giving away 40 and 31 runs respectively, in 4 overs. Other players couldn't contribute much to the team, eventually leading to the team to a loss, with 91 runs.
