Mumbai Indians (MI) wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan sustained a facial injury after a direct throw from his teammate Hardik Pandya bounced before him and hit near his right eye during their Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Wankhede Stadium.
Kishan was immediately taken off the field and his eye appeared to be swollen. The incident happened in 13th over of the RCB innings. The 19-year-old was replaced by Aditya Tare after the injury.

Pandya posted a photo with Kishan on Twitter and tendered an apology to the young wicketkeeper-batsman.
