Ghatkopar’s Anti Narcotics Cell first got the information that the smuggling of the marijuana will be in a tourist’s vehicle. With the information in hand, the ANC planned to catch the suspect while checking every vehicle. During this search, the police found 130 kg of marijuana split into three bags with Taufik and Parveen. The police also found 15 kg marijuana with Parveen alone and the remaining was found in the vehicle. Both were arrested by the police under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

During the investigation, it has come out that Taufik is a resident of Nalasopara and Parveen lives in Sakinaka’s 90 feet road.
