Employment Scam: RPF At CSMT Bust Fake Railway Job Racket, Arrest 2

Central Railway (CR)'s RPF team at CSMT, Mumbai, unearthed a fake employment scam o­n the basis of an email received by the office of the Principal Chief Security Commissioner (PCSC), Central Railway o­n November 28, 2024.

The message seemed suspicious and the matter was marked for further investigation.

A detailed investigation revealed a fake recruitment racket involving forged government documents, spoofing government mail ids and collecting money from unemployed, in the name of providing government jobs in Railways. 

Based o­n the evidence, the culprits were traced and nabbed.

A complaint has been lodged with the Government Railway Police, CSMT against the accused namely, Sanjay Shukla, Railway employee working as Technician, Virar Car Shed and Rohit Singh under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for cheating u/s 318 (4), Forgery with intent to cheat u/s 336(2), Forgery with intent to use forged documents u/s 336(3), Offence of forging valuable document u/s 338 & Use of forged document u/s 340(2).

The railway police have managed to unearth this anomaly with o­nly o­ne shred of evidence namely a single mail. This displays their keen acumen and emphasizes alertness and exemplary investigation skills in solving such cases.
