The temperature is soaring with every passing day. Mumbaikars are sweating it out. To beat the heat three friends went to Girgaon beach to take a dip. Dharavi residents Atharva Sunil Kharunkar (15), Dheeraj Prakash Lokre (16) and Abhishek Kokane went to enjoy at Girgaon beach, but it was quite unfortunate that Atharva and Dheeraj drowned in the sea.
Abhishek is under treatment in the hospital. Both the youth were unable to overpower the high waves and died on spot. Lifeguards rushed on to the spot and managed to rescue Abhishek. When they rescued Atharva from the sea, he was already dead. After 24 hours Dheeraj’s body was found on the shore of marine drive. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
