Making a place for yourself in showbiz is not an easy feat, is what leading Marathi cinema actress Priya Bapat believes. Priya, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming web series ‘City of Dreams’ has said that making an entry in Bollywood, without a godfather, is really a difficult task.
The topic of nepotism has been spoken about a lot recently. While some actors don't mind it, others feel is quite unfair. Talking about it, the actress who was also seen in Munna Bhai feels that nepotism is bound to happen and that there’s nothing bad about it. “It’s obvious, if we are big stars, then we will help out our family members too. It’s not only about our industry. It also happens in other sectors, everywhere. But yeah, this is true. If you have a godfather, it becomes quite easy to get in but then it’s all about how you carry that privilege.”
Besides the work front, Priya has also keen on working with Bollywood's new heartthrob, Vicky Kaushal. Sharing her excitement, she said, "I really want to meet Vicky and would love to share the screen with him. After watching his performance in Massan, Gangs of Wasseypur, Love Per Square Foot, I have become a big fan of his acting skills. In fact, not only his acting skills but his personality is also pretty amazing.”
‘City of Dreams’ is Priya’s debut in the web series space. This political drama has four different stories linked to each other and has been directed by Nagesh Kuknoor for Hotstar.
