After successfully launching many of its originals, and collaborating with AltBalaji to garner a new audience base, Zee5 recently released the trailer of one of its next original shows, Bhram.
Bhram is a psychological thriller directed by Sangeeth Sivan and written by K Hari Kumar. This eight-episode series stars Kalki Koechlin, Bhumika Chawla, Sanjay Suri, Eijaz Khan, Omkar Kapoor, and others. The story is a dark tale of illusions and mysteries and revolves around a female novelist who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and goes through many eccentric emotions while pursuing a story.
Kalki will be seen essaying the role of a novelist, and the announcement of the series was made a few months back by the OTT platform. Talking about her role with the Indian Express, Kalki said, "Bhram is an intriguing story and the character I essay is really complex. I heard the script and then kept thinking about it for days. It is almost frightening how the human mind works."
Director Sangeet Sivan said, “Bhram is a thriller where the story revolves around a novelist who suffers from PTSD. It is a tight script, beautifully nuanced and I hope we are able to translate this on screen. Kalki is a powerful actor and it is amazing how she intently listens and pays attention to every small detail.”
Bhram will stream on ZEE5 from September 18, 2019.
