Maharashtra HSC and SSC board examination results 2020 to be announced post mid-July

Educational institutes in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra have been shut down ever since the coronavirus locked-down was imposed on March 25, 2020. Due to the lockdown, the final examination (geography) of standard 10 was also cancelled. Schools and colleges across the state have been closed for over the last two and a half months to ensure the safety of students and the teachers.

However, this has also affected the standard 10 and 12 i.e. SSC and HSC examination results in 2020. These results are usually released in the months of May or June and have further extended the admissions process as well. On one hand, students and parents are waiting for the results, and on the other, the State education department has been making necessary arrangements to ensure that the paper correction/assessment completes as soon as possible.

Talking about the same Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has made an announcement which could bring relief to students and parents. Based on the recent update released on June 17, Varsha Gaikwad informed the results of both HSC and SSA examinations will be released in the month of July. She further said that the future of students is safe and officials are trying to release the results at the earlier. Standard 12 i.e. Maharashtra HSC Board Exam Results for 2020, will be released by July 15, 2020, and for standard 10, i.e. Maharashtra SSC Board Exam Results for 2020 will be released by the end of July so that the admission process for the new academic year can we started in the month of August. 

NDTV reported that in order to speed up the evaluation process the government has allowed teachers and other officials concerned to travel for work during the COVID-19 lockdown. In 2020, more than 13 lakh students had appeared for standard 12 (HSC) examinations and around 17 lakh students had appeared for Standard 10 (SSC) examinations. 

Scores for the final geography paper for standard 10 (SSC) will be based on the average confirmed the chairperson of Maharashtra state board
