MBA and MMS CET clashing with Mumbai University exams; MUST requests university to reschedule

The entrance exams for MBA and MMS courses, conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), are scheduled for April 1, 2, and 3. However, Mumbai University is also conducting its summer session exams during the same period. This overlap has caused confusion and concern among students. The Maharashtra Secular Teachers' Association (MUST) has requested that the university reschedule its exams to avoid academic conflicts for students.

Every year, many Mumbai University students take the MBA entrance exam, and with both exams falling on the same dates, many students may miss the CET. MUST has urged the university to announce new dates for the summer exams that avoid overlapping with the CET schedule.

Additionally, the university’s summer session chemistry exam spans four consecutive days. MUST has requested a gap between these exams to give students time to prepare. Dr. Vijay Pawar, President of MUST, mentioned that a letter has been sent to the Director of the Examination and Evaluation Board of Mumbai University to address these concerns.

Mumbai University has acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the dates of some exams will be changed according to the CET schedule. A revised exam timetable will be published soon on the official university website, mu.ac.in.
