Navi Mumbai: NMMC releases List of Unauthorised Schools for the year 2024-25

It has been noticed that 5 primary schools in Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation area are running illegally without the approval of the Government/Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation till the end of March 2024. Under Section-18 of the RTE Act 2009 no new school can be run without approval.

However, the concerned school managers should enrol the students of their schools for further education after contacting the parents in the nearest municipal or other recognised private school and immediately close the school. Otherwise, action will be taken against as per section 18 (5) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, confirmed Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

Parents should not re-admit their children to these unauthorised schools. Also, the parents who have admitted their children to this unauthorised school, should cancel the admission of their children and enrol them in the nearest government approved school, so that their education will not suffer, the municipal corporation is also informing.
