Colleges release the first-merit list; Increase cut-offs from 5 to 9 per cent

On Tuesday, colleges affiliated with Mumbai University (MU) released the first merit list. This year, many well-known Mumbai colleges have increased their cut-offs from 5-9 per cent. Meanwhile, the second and third lists will be issued on June 22 and 27, 2018.

Commerce- The most sought stream

On Tuesday, the first B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BMM, BMS, B.Sc-IT, BSc (Computer Science), B.Com (Banking and Insurance), B.Com (Account and Finance) list was released. As per this year’s list, students have chosen self-finance and Commerce stream over other streams.

Students who have scored between 60 per cent and 75 per cent are tensed owing to the increased cut-off. Meanwhile, students whose name appeared on the first list, have to submit the required documents on June 20 and by June 21, they will have to pay the fees to confirm the admission.

Ruia College

B.Sc- 85.08 per cent

Arts- 91.08 per cent

Science- 90 per cent

Commerce- 90.75 per cent

Podar College

B.Com- 93.69 per cent

BMS (Commerce)- 94 per cent

Arts- 86.31 per cent

Science- 89.80 per cent

S. K Somaiyya College

B.A. 70 per cent

B.Com- 78 per cent
