Newly added name columns in answer sheets can spoil students' career: Yuva Sena

Mumbai University has decided to introduce a column for students to write their names on the answer sheets. However, this move did not go well with Yuva Sena Chief Aaditya Thackeray who met Examination and Evaluation Board Director Dr Arjun Ghatule and demanded to withdraw the decision of introducing the column. He threatened that if their demand is not met, Yuva Sena would stage a protest against the same.

For the last two years, the University of Mumbai has been doing an online assessment which has caused a lot of problems to students in terms of misplacing answer sheets and sometimes losing it. In order to improve the online assessment procedure, MU decided to introduce a name column on the answer sheet. However, Senate members expressed that due to this move, answer sheets will most likely get replaced.

They believe that answer sheets are likely to get tampered with if the college or the examination centre finds out the name of students.
