A 6-foot long python rescued from Mulund

A rickshaw driver saw a six-foot long python on the road in Johnson & Johnson Garden on LBS Road in Mulund on Monday and was alarmed by the sight (for obvious reasons).

He immediately called an animal rescue group and notified them about the python. Plant and Animal Welfare Society members arrived at the spot and rescued the reptile later.

It is speculated that the python came from the Sanjay Gandhi National Park area. A six-foot long python is definitely not a common sight in Mumbai and it’s sure to alert a few people. Luckily the snake was rescued safely and nobody was hurt in the process.
