Mumbai – Are you planning to buy chana dal to prepare delicacies for Diwali? If yes, then beware! The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials have seized Russian chana dal (split bengal gram) worth Rs 2.75 crore after raiding four godowns in Navi Mumbai. The chana dal had allegedly been decaying and was stored at the Nhava Sheva port for the last one year. The dal was then shifted to godowns in Navi Mumbai and was going to be traded in the city. The FDA had received a tip-off in this regard and carried out the raids.
