Buying a house in Mumbai is a bit difficult for a middle-class family who then try their luck in Maharashtra Housing and Development Authority (MHADA) lottery. Every year, MHADA releases their lottery and lakhs of Mumbaikars fill up online forms wherein they submit a deposit amount. Seeing the demand, miscreants try and dupe people by creating fake MHADA websites.
MHADA officials came across 25 such fake websites and have filed a police complaint as well with the Cyberpolice. The same was conveyed through a circular.

In the coming months, MHADA will be releasing a lottery for 1001 houses and Konkan Housing & Area Development Board will be releasing one for 4000 houses.
