Bring real estate web portals in the ambit of MahaRera: Shirish Deshpande

Mumbai Grahak Panchayat (MGP) has urged MahaRera to bring property portals such as Makan.com, 99 acres under its wing to increase the transparency and accountability in the real estate sector.

MGP Chairman Shirish Deshpande wrote a letter to MahaRera chief Gautam Chatterjee demanding to treat real estate web portal companies as a real estate agent. He has asked the body to register such portals under MahaRERA in the next 60 days.
