Haryali Sanstha and BMC organized a medicinal herbs & plant exhibition at Mahakavi Kalidas Natyamandir on Sunday. Workshops were also conducted to know more about the herbal plants and to give information about the usage of the herbs. Haryali has been working for tree conservation from last 30 years. In this exhibition, 160 types of herbal plants were displayed.
As time passes, these herbal plants are disappearing, so proper steps have to be taken in order to preserve these rare and essential natural herbs like turmeric, sandalwood, basil, Ashwagandha, Nirgundi (Vitex negundo).
