Chitra Wagh seeks action against teacher

Mumbai - Government’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme is only on paper and advertisements, alleged Chitra Wagh, state president of NCP’s women wing. Wagh met education minister Vinod Tawde on Sunday to demand action against a teacher of The Universal School in Ghatkopar West. The teacher had allegedly sent an obscene message to a girl student. Wagh sought immediate dismissal of the teacher, his arrest for victim student’s molestation and withdrawal of the school’s recognition. The government has been spending crores of rupees on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme but incidents of sexual assault on girl students have not decreased in the state, she alleged.
