Minor fire breaks out at Maharashtra Food Minister's house; No casualties reported

A fire broke out at Maharashtra Food Minister Girish Bapat's Malabar Hill residence on February 11, Monday. However, as per the officials, nobody was hurt during the fire outbreak at the minister's official South Mumbai residence.

The outbreak was spotted at around 8:20 pm in the staff quarters which is situated on the ground floor of the 'Dyaneshwari' bungalow.

Fortunately, the fire didn’t spread much and mainly remained confined to electric wiring, other installations, and household articles," the official said.

The blaze was put out immediately after prompt action by the fire personnel. Meanwhile, it was unclear whether the minister or his family members were present in the house during the incident.
