After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray appealed the farmers to not give land for the proposed bullet train project, MNS workers on Monday stopped the officials working on taking the surveys for the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Bullet train at Diva-Sheel in Thane.
Talking about this project, an aggressive MNS worker said, “There is no need for the bullet train and the work for this project will never happen.” The bullet train project’s work will cater to the Thane-Palghar area.

MNS’ District President Avinash Jadhav told Mumbai Live that the MNS workers will get rid of the situation and won’t let this project progress.
Despite the opposition of farmers and the people, this scheme is being implemented. There is no justification for this plan. We will not allow this plan to be implemented in any way. Wherever the survey or work of this scheme will be initiated, MNS will definitely stop it,” he asserted.
Seems like MNS' official stand is very strong against this project. The Bullet train is going to cost ₹1,10,000 crore. Farmers have strongly opposed the project as the government needs to acquire land for the same. MNS chief Raj Thackeray has taken an open stand against the bullet train project.
