Mumbai - After Shiv Sena’s decision to fight the BMC elections alone and breaking up the alliance with it, the BJP has initiated talks with other friendly parties for seat sharing. The BJP leaders are taking efforts to take these smaller parties along as a meeting with these parties took place in the Rangsharda Auditorium in Mumbai. City BJP president Ashish Shelar, RPI (A)’s Avinash Mahatekar, Bharatiya Sangram Parishad’s Vinayak Mete, and Rashtriya Samaj Paksh’s Mahadev Jankar participated in these seat sharing talks. The RPI said that it would not fight on the BJP symbol but on its own while other parties are likely to declare their stand in next two-three days, say sources.

Seats sought by smaller allies of BJP:

RPI (A) – 65

RSP – 20
