Elections for six vacant Rajya Sabha seats from Maharashtra will be held on February 27, 2024 and the last date for application is February 15, 2024. The Election Commission of India announced the election schedule for a total of 56 Rajya Sabha seats falling vacant across 16 states including Maharashtra.

Six Rajya Sabha seats are falling vacant from the state due to the tenure of Rajya Sabha MPs from Maharashtra, Anil Desai, Prakash Javadekar, Kumar Ketkar, V. Muraleedharan, Narayan Rane and Smt. Vandana Chavan ending on 02 April 2024. The seats announced by the Election Commission include Andhra Pradesh (3), Bihar (6), Chhattisgarh (1), Gujarat (4), Haryana (1), Himachal Pradesh (1), Karnataka (4), Madhya Pradesh (5) . Elections will be held on 56 seats in Maharashtra (6), Telangana (3), Uttar Pradesh (10), Uttarakhand (1), West Bengal (5), Odisha (3) and Rajasthan (3).
