Mumbai Police constable, Sonia Mokal, performed exceptionally well in the ‘Police World Sports competition' held in Los Angeles, USA.
Sonia won the gold medal in the 800-meter race from the Indian Women Athletics Association and bagged a silver medal in the 1500-meter race.
Sonia did well at the Maharashtra State Police Games competition. She bagged gold in 800 meters as well as in 400 meters. She won bronze in the 4 x 400 relay competition.
More than 10,000 participants from 80 countries had participated in this event.
