Mumbai - The Wadala - Ghatkopar - Thane - Kasarvadavali Metro 4 scheme that has got underway, will have drones overseeing the work, MMRDA officials have said.

This is the first time that drone cameras will be brought into use to survey the metro stations, which form the most important aspect of the metro scheme. Trees need to be cut down, and a lot of rehabilitation of existing resources is needed during the execution of a metro project. Three dimensional model of the metro stations will be sketched based on the footage captured by drone cameras. These will be used to map existing structures and trees and ensure optimal construction of the metro stations. MMRDA officials told Mumbai Live that the DN Nagar - Mankhurd Metro - 2 B will also be similarly surveyed using drone camera.
