AR Rahman to be the super guru in Star Plus' 'The Voice India'

Popular singing reality show 'The Voice India', which used to air on AndTV will be shifted to Star Plus.

As per reports in media legendary singer, A.R. Rahman has been roped in as the super guru to mentor the contestants. Director Amar Kaushik who will be directing the promo for the reality show said that he is very much excited to work with the well-known music composer.

"I'm elated to be associated with StarPlus for a show like 'The Voice'. I was excited to direct the promo as I have been following the international counterparts of the show and loved the concept of finding the ultimate singing sensation, solely based on their voice," said Kaushik in a statement.

Furthermore, he added, "As a filmmaker, it is gratifying to work with the music maestro A.R. Rahman and it cannot get any bigger than that. The promo will definitely strike the right chord with the viewers and keep them eagerly anticipating for the show".

The show is all set to launch in the month of February this year.
