Dharma Productions' recently released film, Student of the Year 2, has been loved by a particular set of audience. Karan Johar, the man behind the production house, has introduced many new stars in the film industry, who are successful today. With this film, he introduced Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. Besides the new girls, he also gave films antagonist Aditya Seal a chance to shine. This is not Aditya's first film, but the actor in the past has delivered good performances, despite the film not working at the Box office.
In an interaction with Mumbai Live, Aditya talks about his passion for films, this big break, aspirations and more. Right after the trailer of SOTY 2 released, fans got a glimpse of his martial arts skills. Talking about his interest in this form of arts, he said, "Taekwondo happened because I thought I'll be able to use it in the films. With time, the passion grew and I started winning gold medals. I continue to practise on a regular basis and today, I have used it to the best with SOTY2."
This is his first film with Dharma Productions. While many stars have been waiting to get this chance, Aditya hard work did help him bag this role. Sharing his excitement and experience of working with the banner for the popular franchise, he said, "The journey so far has been fantastic and larger than life. Meeting Karan was a surreal experience. I was styled by Manish Malhotra for the look test, and it was unbelievable. I have just loved working on the film. Everybody on the set was young. The first time I met them, I was surprised by how comfortable they were with each other. It felt as if we were on a vacation, and we did everything together when we were in Dehradun."
Although Karan is not actively involved in making the film, he is definitely the man who mentors the new and upcoming stars. As per reports, he shares a thick bond, especially with the fresh faces, and helps them make it big in this tough industry. On being asked about what the guru told him before the film, Aditya added, "The only thing Karan told me was to look bloody hot and make everything worth for what was invested in all of us. I did follow his words. To maintain my physique wasn't anything different to a usual day. Gymnastics helped on a regular basis. I just focused on my diet and workout, and I was there, fit when wanted."
As mentioned, Aditya's affair with films started many years back, and he has been working hard to fulfill his dreams. While he has been noticed, luck has not favoured his films, hence he hasn't tasted success as he wishes to. "My journey with a lot of ups and downs. I'm very happy right now and in a good space. I'm glad that I have a story to tell. I have worked hard for it, and nobody can tell me that I have earned it because I was born with a silver spoon. I have seen the tough side of it, and I always told myself to 'keep doing it' relentlessly," Aditya said about his aspirations while bringing an end to the conversation.
