Speaking to news agency ANI, Dilip Lande said the bus leaving Kurla station lost control due to brake failure. This scared the driver and he stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. Some have also been admitted to private hospitals for treatment. Efforts are being made to reassure the injured patients by informing them. While informing about the said accident, DCP Zone 5 Deputy Commissioner of Police Ganesh Gawde said that the preliminary view is that the accident occurred due to the loss of control of the driver.
