The Mumbai Traffic Police has banned all private buses and heavy vehicles from 6 am to 7 pm on June 4 on Western Express highway (WEH) service road from Jogeshwari (Shankarwadi) near Dahisar check naka to ensure smooth flow of traffic in view of the vote counting Centre at Nesco Exhibition Centre. Whereas the Main part of WEH will be normal for regular traffic.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Mitesh Ghatte, Transport (Western Suburbs), all ballot boxes must be moved between the strong room and the counting center to reach the polling station without any hindrance.

The counting of votes for three constituencies will be held at Nesco Exhibition Centre, Western Expressway, North bound, Goregaon (East) within the Jogeshwari Traffic Division.

On the day of counting of votes, the candidates of constituencies, their supporters, media vehicles, emergency service vehicles will come in large numbers on the service road in front of NESCO. Therefore, to maintain smooth flow of traffic it is deemed necessary to issue appropriate orders as per the report received regarding changes in the traffic system on the route from Western Expressway, North bound Service Road, Jaycoach Junction to Nesco Gap Junction.

B) For smooth running of traffic and proper traffic management at vote counting Center at Nesco Exhibition Center within Jogeshwari Traffic Division in the city, all vehicles will be restricted (Except the vehicles of Election commission and vehicles of Officers and staff coming for vote counting) on Western Express Highway, North Bound Service road from Jaycoach Junction to Nesco Gap Junction from 05.00 to 18.00 hrs on Dt 04/06/2024.

Essential services providing vehicles like vegetables, milk, bakery products, drinking water, petroleum products, ambulances, government and semi-government vehicles and school buses are exempted from the above restrictions.

Alternate Route:

Vehicles heading towards Nesco Gap via Jaycoach Junction Western Expressway, North Bound Service Road will take a left turn at Nesco Gap via Jaycoach Junction Slip Road to reach the destination. Also, for the traffic coming from Mrinaltai Gore Junction to Jaycoach Junction, will take a right turn at Mrinaltai Gore Junction and take a U-turn above Mrinaltai Gore Bridge to South Bound to Mahananda Junction to slip road to Jaycoach Junction will reach desired destination.
