To spread awareness about the Maharashtra Public Service Right Act, 2015, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) organised informative street plays at various locations across the city on April 28, as part of the "Seva Hakka Din" celebration.

Under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, the NMMC has been working to make public services more easily accessible to citizens through effective online systems. Services such as birth, death, and marriage registrations—68 in total—are now available online through the NMMC’s official website (www.nmmc.gov.in) and the "Majhi Navi Mumbai – My NMMC" mobile app.

To help citizens better understand these services, the NMMC used the popular and engaging format of street plays. These plays combined entertainment with information, making it easier for people to learn about their rights and available services.

The NMMC's Sports and Cultural Department organised these performances not only at their headquarters but also in public areas like malls and railway stations. The plays were presented by artists from Aarambh Events, including Akshay Khambe, Shaunka Pol, Dheeraj Sodiye, Ashish Kadam, Pratik Ghadge, and Shubham Bhobaskar. The initiative received a great response from the public.
