Attention! No water supply in Thane on September 20

In Thane Municipal Corporation area, water is supplied to Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majiwada-Manpada and Wagle (in some areas) ward committees through Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. In Wagle (some areas) Ward Committee, water is supplied through Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. 

Under the water supply scheme of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, urgent repair work of the Barvi gravity channel has been undertaken from Katai Naka to Sheel tank. As a result, water supply to some parts of Thane city will be shut off for 24 hours starting tomorrow, Friday September 20 till 12.00 am.

During the said shutdown period in all parts of Diva, Mumbra (except part of Ward No. 26 and 31) and Kalwa Ward Committee under Thane Municipal Corporation and Rupadevi Pada, Kisannar No. 2 in Wagle Ward Committee, water supply in Nehru Nagar and Kolshet Khalcha Village under Manpada Ward Committee will be completely shut off for 24 hours.

Citizens should please note that water supply will be at low pressure for the next 1 to 2 days after the water supply starts. The municipality has appealed to the Thane Municipal Corporation to cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation in using water sparingly during the said water reduction period.
