In school no. 88 of Diva Agasan of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), the students showed symptoms of nausea after taking food on October 17. Taking immediate cognizance of the said incident, a team of expert doctors of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital reached the school and did a preliminary examination of the students and gave first aid. 

Thane’s Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao informed that the condition of the students in this school is stable. He has also given instructions to investigate the matter and take strict action against the culprits.

In school no. 88 of Diva Agasan of Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), during the morning session, the students of class V to VII were served Khichdi in a mid-day meal. But after a while, some students showed symptoms of nausea, taking immediate notice of this incident, a medical team including Dr. Anirudh Malgaonkar, Medical Superintendent of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital entered the school.

This team immediately examined all the students and gave them first aid. Although some students were admitted to Chhatrapati Maharaj Hospital for treatment, doctors said that the condition of all students is stable. Deputy Commissioner of Education G G Godepure informed that the TMC administration and the hospital's expert team are taking care of the students admitted to the hospital.

The information about the said incident has been given to the Food and Drug Administration and the team of the concerned department entered the spot and took samples of the food and inspected the entire kitchen and the area. Commissioner Saurabh Rao mentioned that strict action will be taken against the concerned after the complete investigation.
